About IBPS Bank PO/MT XIIth CRP


IBPS conducts the Common Recruitment Process (CRP PO/MT) for the selection of Probationary Officers (PO) and Management Trainees (MT) in interested Public Sector Banks once every year. 

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the 11 PSU Bank as Probationary Officer/ Management Trainee or in a similar post in that cadre, is required to register for the 12th Common Recruitment Process (CRP PO/MT-XII). 

The 12th PO/MT examination is of two tier i.e. the online examination will be held in two phases, Online Preliminary (October 2022) and Online Main (November 2022). 

Candidates who will qualify in the Preliminary examination and shortlisted will have to appear for Main examination (to be conducted online) and passed out shortlisted candidates of the Online Main examination will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be conducted by the Participating Organisations and co-ordinated by the Nodal Bank

Almost all Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) nowadays recruit engineers through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) only in their cadre. Generally, PSUs recruit Graduate Engineers as Graduate Engineers Trainees (GET), Officers, Management Trainees, Executive Engineers etc. at various levels and in various disciplines/subjects, etc.

This process of recruitment of the engineers through GATE has been adopted by State PSU and State Government Departments also to recruit Engineers through GATE only.

Every year, the Central/State Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) companies recruit suitable engineer candidates for their Engineering Departments through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) which is conducted every year in the month of February and filling in application forms is completed in the month of September of the previous year of the GATE exam year.


All eligible engineering graduate job seekers pursuing their careers in the PSUs should apply for the GATE and get a good score in the exam. The valid GATE scorecard will make engineers eligible for the selection in their desired PSU for two-year duration. The GATE has become a de facto recruitment examination for Engineers. GATE-2023 by IIT Kanpur for Engineer Recruitment

GATE 2023 by IIT Kanpur


Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. Like every year, this year also the organising committee of GATE has come up with an advertisement for GATE-2023. 

The Organising Institute for GATE 2023 is the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IITK).

A candidate currently studying in the 3rd or higher year of any undergraduate degree program OR has already completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Science / Commerce / Arts is eligible for GATE-2023.

The Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) will use the GATE 2023 score in their recruitment process.

Examination Pattern 


Each GATE 2023 paper is for a total of 100 marks, General Aptitude (GA) is common for all papers (15 marks) and the rest of the paper covers the respective syllabus (85 marks).

GATE 2023 will be conducted on 29 subjects and as an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) of 3 hours duration. The online examination paper will contain (a) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) (b) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and/or Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions.

The Candidates will use only an on-screen virtual calculator provided for the examination. The Examination for GATE 2023 will be conducted on the 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th of February 2023.

Recruitment in Government Organisations through GATE 2023


Apart from PSU, some other Central Government and State Government organisations and Departments will also use valid GATE 2023 scores to select engineers for their requirements. For Example, Direct recruitment to Group-A level posts in Central government, i.e., Senior Field Officer (Tele), Senior Research Officer (Crypto) and Senior Research Officer (S&T) in Cabinet Secretariat, Government of India, will be carried out on the basis of GATE-2023 score only.

The details of the scheme of recruitment of Engineers through GATE 2023 will normally be published in National Newspapers/Employment News by the concerned authority. State Government PSU like Power companies, PWD, Irrigation Department will also recruit engineers through GATE-2023 score only. The valid GATE score has become a de facto recruitment examination for Engineers.

Application for the GATE-2023 Examination has to be submitted online in the prescribed format at the IIT Kanpur GATE-2023 website only from 30/08/2022 to 30/09/2022 and up to 07/10/2022 for a late fee.

The application fee for GATE 2023 is ₹1700/- (₹850/- for Female/SC/ST/PWD candidates) and for an extended period fee is ₹2200/- (₹1350/- for Female/SC/ST/PWD candidates) to be paid online.

Method of Selection


Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed at one of the Selection Centres viz. Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), Bengaluru (Karnataka) and Kapurthala (Punjab) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letter for SSB interview will be issued by respective Selection Centres through candidate’s registered e-mail id and SMS only.

Allotment of Selection  Centre is at the discretion of DG Rtg, IHQ of MoD (Army) and NO request for changes are entertained in this regard. Candidates will be put through a two-stage selection procedure at the SSB. Those who clear Stage-I will go to Stage-II. Those who fail in Stage-I will be returned on the same day. The duration of SSB interviews is five days.

Written Examination


The procedure for selection of candidates for the post of Senior Assistant Accounts (Group-B) will consist of a Written Competitive Examination comprising 120 MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) questions (@ 4 marks for each question) of 480 marks (Questions from the Subject (Part A of Syllabus) - 100 questions of 400 marks,  Questions from General Knowledge & Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Aptitude. (Part B of Syllabus) - 20 questions of 80 marks). The exam will be of two (02) hours duration. The exact date shall be intimated shortly. Selected candidates will be called for personal interviews.
